Dear Diary,
Time passes so quickly. It's like we have no choice but to get over/work through things. I feel like I just woke up one day and now I'm 21 but I feel 12. am I going to be 41 and feel 12? Maybe I'll be 41 and feel 21. Every old person I've ever talked to says that they feel much younger than they are, that their brains haven't caught up with their bodies. This is probably a good thing, better than sitting around and being like, oh my god i am so old. I am so OLD! Yesterday I came home from golf, cracked a Fat Tire, and sat in front of VH1 for a while. And I thought, geez. There is nothing wrong with this. No one is going to tell a 21 year old not to have one beer in front of the television. It made me a little sad.
The other day, I made a list of all the times in my life when I've thought, "This is probably the most fun I've ever had in my life" About three of these things involved highschool or middle school band. One involved a fast moving inflatable whale watching boat, one involved parasailing, one involved reggaeton, and one involved playing frisbee with nicaraguans. There were a lot more, but only 2 involved boyfriends, and only 1 involved drinking. (and that was new years eve on a cruise ship with my entire family) This made me think. Boyfriends and drinking are overrated. Team sports, dancing, and band trips, however, are quite underrated. I would recommend that everyone make a list next time they are feeling badly. It made me think that my life really doesn't suck, not even a little bit.
Love,
Diana
