Dear Diary,
I have been good at weaning myself from the internet. Facebook just isn't as interesting in the summer. Lately i feel like i've been talking about myself so much that i'm getting sick of myself. It's always got to be about me and my jobs. And how OMG i am working sooooo much, I am so important and busy?! Today I got up at 6am to cater for this conference about ecology and psychology. This was after a 1am lost purse crisis that had me in a tizzy for about a half hour and ended up being recovered from behind a wet towel on a hook in my room. Anyway, the gist that I got from the conference was they were a bunch of overly green conscious therapists from all over the country. We got a lot of questions like, "is this free range?" "can I have a non-disposable coffee cup?" "is there any soy milk?" "how does that make you feel?" (okay so I may have made up that last question) They also got really jazzed about our biodegradable spoons that are made from potatoes or corn or something.
Lately all I have wanted to do is go to dive bars and play pool. It's because a few weeks ago I was playing pool and got three balls in in a row and I am still impressed with myself. It would be nice to be a pool shark. I am usually so bad at boy dominated things. Speaking of dive bars, I never posted about how I did karaoke at a bar. I sang, "stay" by Lisa Loeb. Best song ever, and I know all of the words All I had to do pretend I had a lot more to drink than I actually did, and throw my whole soul into the song, and the crowd ate it up. Char went before I did, and sang "total eclipse of the heart." She was amazing of course and she made me brave for my turn.
Love,
Diana
