Dear Diary,
Today is a grand day because i got contacts again. I am so excited. I didn't have to worry about my glasses fogging up when i got out of the shower, i could put on hoodies with ease all day, it was amazing.
I logged some hours in the library today, then my computer ran out of juice. between you and me, i was glad for the excuse to leave the library early. Oh, my life is so boring. I should just start playing the boring game right now instead of my feeble attempts to make this day interesting.
I have a lot of clean socks right now. I bought some baby carrots today for my friend down the hall. My train ticket for this weekend was more expensive than anticipated. I'm almost out of hello kitty stationary. My sister's middle name is Joan. For some reason all the bills in my wallet are all really crispy right now. I can't wait to put green tape in my labelmaker. Tomorrow is tax day. I already filed my taxes and bought an Ipod. I saved my subway card from my trip to New York. We're done with grammer for the year in my Spanish class. Billy Joel really isn't so bad. They had sloppy joes at the bon today. I ate one.
If you haven't figured out what the boring game is by now, I'm sorry. I shouldn't be mocking my own website, but sometimes the inspiration just isn't there.
Love,
Diana

Dear Diary,
I used to be proud that my website gets 20-30 hits a day. However now I have come to believe that is just my immediate family checking it multiple times. I guess that's okay. I can't expect the whole world to read about my life... I need to start carrying around my dianafreeburg.com commuter cup, it's good for publicity.
Good news. Diana and #2 got into Hartzfeld for next year. Just so you know Hartzfeld is only the most exclusive and wonderful dorm on campus. well i guess that's not true because our first choice was Odell and we didn't get that. BUT, Hartzfeld is only sophmores. So no lame freshmans. only extremely mature sophmores such as myself and #2.
I have a lot of ceramics to do this weekend so I need to rest up. Monday is the last day to fire anything that is still wet. This is a problem because I am not at the level of finesse on the wheel that I expected to be at this point.
Love,
Diana

Dear Diary,
I just finished the book of a lifetime. Never has a book made me so happy and so sad at the same time. And now it's over and i don't know if i can go on. I wish my reading for school kept me up until 2 every night, unable to put the text down because it made me so excited. Everytime i finish a book like this, i'm just like, "that's it. my life is over now. how could any other book ever make me feel the way this one did?" But then of course after some time, you find another one and things get better than ever. Books are like boyfriends in this sense. However, quality books are much eaiser to locate. And people with similar tastes, or experts like librarians, can recommend them to you. Recommending a boy is unfortunately much messier than recommending a book. But let's not look at this in a bad light. if you're not wasting your time with some dude, you have more time to read enlighting books or make clay pots and are a more exciting human being because of it.
Love,
Diana

Dear Diary,
I am in the library researching for my research paper like a good college student should be doing on a Sunday, and I realized that the article that I found online and had been taking notes off for the last half hour of is some high school kid from the midwest's history day paper. It was my most helpful resource so far though. The kid won his history day competition, I think that merits me using it for my paper. Besides, I acessed it through Jstor. Jstor is totally reputable.
The worst part about Sundays is that after brunch is over, there is nothing else to look forward to. ever. just a long day of waiting for it to be monday again. I really have nothing to complain about. I have three hours of class a day. Some people spend that much time in traffic every day.
When it is crappy out and I am stuck in the library, I start daydreaming about my volkswagen and jack russell terrier in the back seat. In my secret fantasy I am listening to Jack Johnson and driving to the ocean.
Love,
Diana
